ROTORUA
|
A visit to Rotorua is a must while you
are in New Zealand.. Rotorua is located at a point where two
continental plates overlap. Constant movement of these plates
creates a high level of thermal activity causing geysers,
boiling mud and water, hot natural thermal pools and a vast
array of unusual landscape.
Because of these natural resources The
Maori (the native people of New Zealand) settled in the
area. This means that in addition to the natural phenomenon ,
you will have opportunity to see and experience various
aspects of Maori Culture including traditional carving and
arts, food, music and dance.
Rotorua has also developed as one of the
centres for adventure tourism in New Zealand and you can ride
the luge, take a ride in the Zorb, do a Bungy jump or
take a jet boat ride.
With such diverse activities there is
something for everyone in Rotorua. If you have the time,
two or three days are not wasted in Rotorua - but you can get
a really good taste in just one day
